Sorry for the lack of updates here, every since getting back from England, real life kinda gets in the way of updating, but today i had a chance to update the gallery with many many photos and tomorrow will add many more.

Also look out for a new design for the site in the coming weeks, something a bit more interactive and full with interesting features.

Have a nice weekend! :)

Kasabian nominated for Mercury awards

July 21st, 2009 | Category: Articles

Kasabian: “It Seems Like We’ve Finally Won!”

Kasabian say that their appearance on the Barclaycard Mercury Prize shortlist has finally given the band the establishment recognition they deserve… but that they’re not bothered if they win or not.

Speaking to Xfm at the awards launch party at London’s Hospital Club today (July 21), Tom Meighan told Xfm newshound Matt Dyson that he was pleased with the nod. “It’s nice for a band like us, because we didn’t exactly make a pop record. The reason we’ve been nominated for this is because the album is so obscure. Most of the acts that have been nominated are really obscure as well. It’s ing cool, man.

“It’s nice when it comes to you, because we’ve had lot of fights with media and the critics and stuff. But it seems like we’ve won. We try to invent new tastes in rock and roll music.”

Asked if he though that ‘West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum’ would emulate last year’s winner, Elbow’s ‘The Seldom Seen Kid’, Tom said, “I’m not bothered about winning it, it’s nice to be nominated. It’ll probably go to someone really, really obscure, I’d be nice, but I don’t think about it like that.”

You can listen to Tom’s interview on xfm website

Well done lads!!!!!! :)

Back to regular routine

July 18th, 2009 | Category: Uncategorized

Hello, i am back from my holiday in England, it was a great great holiday and i had a chance to see Kasabian live in Eden Sessions (Also to meet Tom & Serge :) ) and attend the Oasis Wembley Stadium gig on July 9 where Kasabian were supporting and almost stealing the show from Oasis.

This trip was really wonderful and seeing the band for the first time was a great experience, especially in Eden Sessions where i was in front row completly oblivious how bad it can get there, but lets put it this way, i could care less. LOL
Now that i am back home i will try to update with some kasabian news and many photos to share with you, this will be done on the coming days .

Sadly around the time i was in UK i got an email from a friend saying that something terrible has happened to one of Kasabian’s most dedicated fans. Jennifer, or as some of you know her as Nettie died in a car accident on the way to the Eden Sessions gig on the 4th of July. This is truly shocking news that i still have hard time to digest as so many others also do.
Her contribution to music and to the Kasabian fandom will be not forgotten and she will be terrebly missed.
I had a chance to meet Nettie last year in a Mika concert in London and she was very lovely person and funny to talk to.
I also would like to send my wishes to 8ball aka Ryan who was in the accident with Jennifer and now he is being treated in Hospital, may your recovery be a fast one.
