KASABIAN scooped their first MOJO award last night for Fire – the best rock song for ages.

The Leicester lads were also shortlisted for Best Live Act and Best Album for West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum, but missed out.

Guitarist SERGE PIZZORNO, speaking just before the drinking began: “It’s a great honour after all the hard work. We are now looking forward to smashing it at T In The Park and the V Festival.”

Many congrats to the band for winning the award for best band in the brits.
They have also given probably the best performance of Fire in a long long time:

Vlad will be the next single to be released from Kasabian’s 3 album. It will be out and available to purchase  on February 15.

The arena tour came to a close last Friday with a mind blowing preformance in O2 arena in Dublin Ireland, where the band was joined by non other then Noel Fielding as Vlad during Vlad the Impaler song.. I am certain it was an unforgettable night to many.

After some delay, i have updated the gallery with many photos from the recent arena tour, and i have also updated the tour dates section with the upcoming dates in Japan and Australia.. so check it out

Kasabian have joined the line-up for T4 Stars Of 2009.
T4 presenter Steve Jones said: “Kasabian will be amazing – we’ve got the pop covered, I want to see a rock band down there.”
He added: “They’re just in a different league now, they’re the best band around at the moment – I’ve always liked Kasabian but that recent album was phenomenal, it’s just blown me away, I can’t stop listening to it.”

The Saturdays and N-Dubz will also be performing, and Peter Andre, who fell off the stage at his comeback performance at T4 On The Beach in the summer, will be making a personal appearance at the show, presented by Steve, Miquita Oliver, Rik Edwards and Jameela Jamil.
Sugababes, JLS, Alexandra Burke, Calvin Harris and La Roux are among the other acts to play the star-studded gig, which takes place on Sunday November 29 at London’s Earls Court.

This award is truly well deserved for a band who made their best album.
